INTRODUCTION

The Footwear Technology Centre of La Rioja (CTCR), a non-profit organisation, was established with the clear vocation to provide technology solutions to meet the demands of businesses, public and private institutions, universities and other technology centres, whilst adapting and evolving in the face of the constantly changing market, and demonstrating a clear commitment to promoting Research, Development and Innovation (R&D&i) as a process for sustainable growth and the strengthening of the competitiveness of companies.

A large proportion of the objectives of the Footwear Technology Centre of La Rioja (CTCR) are based around: boosting R&D&i initiatives and projects, promoting technology transfer, increasing the technology level of companies, collaborating and cooperating with industry agents and regional, state and international organisations and other technology centres, and contributing to sustainable development, etc., all directed towards and focused on, increasing the competitiveness of the footwear industry and related industries.
